猛料原创 Public Schools has been awarded a COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) Hiring Grant in the amount of $515,776.

猛料原创 will strategically execute the grant over the next five years. Specifically, the District’s Office of Campus Enforcement will expand its workforce with the addition of more sworn officers. Each COPS hire will be assigned a quadrant of the school district, facilitating the effective implementation of the grant.

Through COPS, Campus Enforcement will incorporate its department’s values into a responsive policing style which is dependent upon the quality of the day-to-day interaction between its officers and the public. Hiring additional sworn officers will allow for greater flexibility in shift assignments to help address areas of concern in hot spot areas within the district.

猛料原创 Campus Enforcement Chief Charles McInnis is excited about the opportunity to add more personnel to his team.

“We appreciate the opportunity to have been awarded this grant,” said Chief McInnis. “It affords us the opportunity to promote safety for all stakeholders throughout our school district.”

The grant was made possible through the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The COPS Hiring Program (CHP) advances the practice of community policing through the hire or rehire of additional career law enforcement officers. Funding through this program will be used to increase the jurisdiction’s community policing capacity to prevent and disrupt crime and violence.
