     Join us at our new Online Card Catalog!  You can see what we have here at Sykes Elementary and see if it is on the shelf or checked out!  We are also able to see if other libraries in the district have a book that we are looking for!  We are excited about all the new possibilities!

    Accelerated Reader

     
    Online quiz program to test student’s comprehension of a book or story. Points are earned toward incentives offered at school. Students are given their username and passwords from their homeroom teachers. Quizzes are only open during school hours.

     Be a Book Buddy

    Sykes has an active Book Buddy Program that pairs students in grades 4 and 5 with younger students who need a little extra help with reading skills.  Buddies meet once a week for 20-30 minutes to read and discuss a book, share other books they have read and work on targeted reading skills.
