Interactive Panels

  • There are two interactive panels that are supported by the Instructional Technology Department. The SMART panel and the Promethean Panel. Both products are wonderful and provide a multitude of tools for teachers to use in their instruction to engage students and enhance learning. The possibilities range from projecting videos to customizing learning activities that allow students to collaborate with each other and flex their critical thinking muscles.

SMART

  • The SMART Interactive Panel is the most popular panel in the district. It also has a plethora of tools for a teacher to use to enhance lessons, engage students in learning, and improve thinking skills.

     
     

    SMART has a variety of resources available for educators. A good place to begin is the website. This website has access to several training paths designed to make it easy to learn to use your panel to improve and enhance learning. Below are additional tools that will also prove helpful.

    • Lumio is a digital learning tool formerly called SMART Learning Suite Online. It makes it easy to transform lessons into active, collaborative learning experiences that engage students on their devices, wherever they are. Every 猛料原创 educator with a board that is 1 to 3 years old has free access to this tool. Lumio currently resides inside our Google Waffle using your @jpsms.org account.

Promethean

  • The Promethean panel is in many 猛料原创 classrooms. It is a wonderful way to instruct and engage students. Technology is constantly changing and tech producers have provided a myriad of tools to help you learn to use their products. We have created the to help you navigate the many available opportunities.

    This site contains videos targeted to Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced users.

     

Interactive Panel Troubleshooting

  • Before submitting the request, please make sure you have performed some basic troubleshooting steps first.

    No Power:

    1. Unplug the device from the current outlet and try another outlet.

    2. Check underneath the board to ensure the power cord is connected completely to the board.

    3. Submit a service request if the power still does not come on.

    No Touch:

    1. Verify the touch cable is connected to the computer/laptop.

    2. Submit a service request if the touch still does not come on.

    No Signal:

    1. Ensure the computer/laptop is connected properly.

    2. Ensure the computer/laptop is in the right screen resolution.

    3. Submit a service request if the problem is not corrected.
